Making Ethical Decisions

At times, we may face situations in which the best way to live and work by the Code is not obvious. In those situations, we should strive to act with integrity and be courageous enough to speak up. If you are ever unsure about the right course of action, carefully consider each of the questions below.

• Does the action follow our Code, our policies and the law?

• Does the action feel like the right thing to do?

• Would you feel comfortable if your action was reported in the media?

Not sure.

If you are uncertain, ask your manager for clarification or use one of our reporting resources.

Yes.

If the answer to each of these questions is “Yes,” then you CAN proceed.
